Dear members,

Greetings from IASSTD & AIDS.

First of all I convey my sincere thanks to all the members for electing me as the secretary for the year 2014-2015. I assure you that I will do my best for the association. My heartfelt thanks to all the members who attended the 38th National conference of IASSTD & AIDS at Chandigarh from 31st October to 2nd November 2014

We must congratulate Dr.A.Chakrabarti as Organising Chairman, Dr. Sunil Sethi as Organising Secretary and other faculties of the Department of Medical microbiology, PGIMER, Chandigarh for organizing the conference in an excellent  manner with the theme of "Diagnostic and Therapeutic Advances in STIs and HIV." The selection of venue was well appreciated. The scientific sessions involved many senior professors sharing their knowledge and it was well attended by many postgraduate students. It highlighted the latest insights in newer diagnostic technologies, epidemiology of STIs, emergence and spread of drug resistance and novel clinical concepts of infection control strategies were discussed. Catering,Transport and accommodation were well planned. Following are the details of the events.
